Design

Moon & Tune Value Package. The available Moon & Tune Value Package, available on the Fusion SEL, combines two great features to make traveling in a Ford Fusion more enjoyable for everyone. Included in the package are the power moonroof and the high-fidelity Audiophile Sound System with in-dash six-disc CD changer, MP3 capability and eight premium speakers.

Sport Appearance Package. Take the bold Fusion design and go even bolder with the Sport Appearance Package, available on front-wheel-drive SE and SEL models. The package features a smoked dark chrome grille and unique rear "lip" spoiler, a sport-tuned suspension system, low-profile 18" P225/45R tires mounted on machined aluminum wheels with painted pockets. The V6 Fusion SE gets a chrome exhaust tip too (standard on V6 SEL). Inside, you have a choice of two seat trims: Black cloth seat insert with Red or White pattern and contrast stitching and Black leather bolsters. In the Fusion SEL, you can upgrade to a solid Red or Black leather seat insert. The package also includes brushed aluminum instrument panel and center stack applique trim.

Handling

221 Horsepower Available. The Duratec 30 3.0L V6 delivers the performance of 221 spirited horses to match the bold Ford Fusion styling. This modern V6 is engineered with four valves per cylinder, activated by dual overhead camshafts with advanced intake variable-cam timing (iVCT) technology to increase engine breathing and boost power output. More power isn't the only performance feature of Fusion V6-powered models. They also come equipped with standard Traction Control System.

Impressive Fuel Economy. The 2.3L 16-valve Duratec I4 is engineered with four valves per cylinder, activated by dual overhead camshafts with advanced intake variable-cam timing (iVCT) technology. This design increases engine breathing and boosts power output. The 2.3L Duratec, with a 5-speed manual transmission, delivers not only an impressive 160-hp rating, but also excellent fuel economy estimates of 20 city/29 hwy mpg.

Safety

5-Star Frontal Crash Test Rating. Its strong unitized body structure with crumple zones and advanced passive safety features such as the Personal Safety System®, Ford Fusion has received the government's highest 5-Star Frontal Crash Test Rating.

Six Standard Airbags. When it comes to passive safety protection, Ford Fusion has you well covered. In addition to the driver and front-seat passenger front airbags, every 2008 Fusion comes with standard front-seat side-impact airbags as well as first- and second-row side-curtain airbags, That's a total of six airbags to enhance protection in certain front or side impacts.

Technology

SYNC Voice Technology. The available voice-activated Ford SYNC™ Communications and Entertainment System allows you to access your music collection by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth® phone with simple voice commands. With SYNC, you can even make music selections through your flash drive by voice command. SYNC is standard on Fusion SEL and optional on SE models.

Voice-Activated DVD Navigation. The available voice-activated DVD-based Navigation System, available in Fusion SEL, has a 6.5" color LCD monitor displaying maps and menus. It pinpoints where you are and even provides turn-by-turn directions. There are more than 20 different functions, many of which can be voice-prompted.
